Goderich, Ontario — Earlier this summer Ben Lobb, MP for Huron—Bruce launched a “Proud to be Canadian Campaign”. The objective of the campaign was to have as many households as possible displaying the Canadian Flag on Canada Day.
Last Friday, Guy Lauzon, Conservative Caucus Chair and M.P. for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry announced the results of the campaign in the House of Commons.
Mr. Lauzon’s riding won the title of most patriotic riding in Canada, Huron—Bruce was not far behind in 2nd place.
The concept behind the campaign was developed during a discussion among Government M.P.’s on how to best celebrate Canada Day. Several Government MPs took part in the Proud to be Canadian campaigns in their ridings.
“The results are fantastic,” said Lobb. “The people of Huron-Bruce are definitely proud Canadians.”
