“AMGH appreciates being one of the 3 recipient organizations to again receive funding from the Hometown Heroes ‘Raise a Little Health’ Charity Hockey Game on July 21. We are very much looking forward to a great evening of fun & entertainment! Thank you so very much for supporting your local hospital to help fund the equipment needs in our emergency and critical care areas”.

-Bill Thibert, CEO, Alexandra Marine Hospital

“Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health is delighted to be a part of the 2016 Hometown Heroes ‘Raise a Little Health’ Charity Hockey Game, now in its third year!  As a member of the organizing team, working with Ben Lobb and Brian O’Reilly, Alexandra Marine & General Hospital and the YMCA in Goderich, we are excited to help promote this locally driven and fun event.  We are thankful to be one of the three recipient organizations to receive the funding raised which helps support innovative community projects and partnerships to improve the health and quality of life of our rural residents. “

-Shelia Schuehlein, President, Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health

"The YMCA provides opportunities for children and young people to reach their potential, achieve their goals and improve their lives.  Last year, one in six kids coming to the YMCA required financial support, and that need continues.  The YMCA Strong Kids Fundraising Campaign helps to eliminate the financial barriers that children face to participate in recreation, and without the community's support for our campaign we would not be able to serve these children.

It's a privilege to partner with Gateway Centre for Excellence and Alexandra Marine & General Hospital as recipients of the proceeds from the 3rd annual Hometown Heroes Raise a Little Health charity hockey game.  We are excited to host this event once again at the Maitland Recreation Centre and look forward to seeing everyone at the game!"
