GODERICH, ONTARIO – MP Ben Lobb, Member of Parliament for Huron—Bruce, applauded the recent investment by the Government of Canada in the Canadian Youth Business Foundation.
This investment will enable an estimated 500 new Canadian businesses to launch over the next year, generating approximately 2,500 new jobs. It will help the next generation of entrepreneurs to innovate, create jobs and generate wealth in every region across the country.
“Small and medium size businesses drive the Canadian economy,” said MP Lobb. “This announcement will help our young entrepreneurs of today become the business leaders of tomorrow.”
This funding is delivered through Year Two of Canada’s Economic Action Plan. The number one focus of this plan is jobs and economic growth.
The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), founded in 1996, is a national charity dedicated to growing our nation’s economy one young entrepreneur at a time. To date, CYBF has invested in more than 3,500 young entrepreneurs in communities across Canada. These businesses have generated over $92 million in tax and export revenues, and have created more than 16,900 new jobs.
