GODERICH, ONTARIO—Conservative Member of Parliament for Huron-Bruce Ben Lobb has been selected to sit on the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-food (AGRI). This comes as welcome news for the 2nd term MP as agriculture is a driving force in the local economy in Huron-Bruce. Lobb will join long standing chair of the AGRI committee, Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound.
Lobb will also continue to sit as a member of the Standing Committee of Veterans Affairs as well as chair the Government Auto Caucus, a position that he took over in February of this year.
“I am honoured to be a member of two distinguished committees. Over the last two and half years we have made a series of significant improvements for veteran that will make a real difference” said Lobb. “I look forward to working with members of the agriculture committee as well as farmers to ensure the sustainability of farm businesses across Canada. Agriculture plans a vital role in Huron-Bruce and I am honoured to be a member of the agriculture committee.”
Lobb has been a member of the Standing Committee of Veterans Affairs since first being elected in 2008. He has also sat on the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities as well as the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security
