The government of Canada supports the Kincardine Summer Music Festival

GODERICH, Ontario
- On behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Ben Lobb, Member of Parliament for Huron--Bruce today announced funding for the Kincardine Summer Music Festival, whose annual summer music festival will take place from August 1 to August 14, 2010.

The Kincardine Summer Music Festival will present its annual summer music festival featuring jazz, blues, classical, world and chamber music concerts in the rural town of Kincardine, Ontario. Professional artists are showcased from the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. Various venues in Kincardine will be used including the Best Western Governor's Inn, Knox Presbyterian Church, Victoria Park, Huron Heights Public School and St. Anthony’s School.

This world-class concert series combines with 20 music education programs over two weeks to produce unique musical opportunities. Outreach events during the festival include free concerts and pre- performance talks at some presentations. For more information on the festival please visit: www.ksmf.ca

The Government of Canada has provided $20,000, through the Arts Presentation Canada program of the Department of Canadian Heritage. This program gives Canadians increased access to the diversity and richness of Canada's culture through professional arts festivals, presentation of live professional performances, and other artistic experiences.
