Second World War veteran (Royal Canadian Navy) Alexander Hall shows Prime Minister Stephen Harper one of his many service medals onboard the Prime Minister's Airbus en route to Normandy, France to mark the 65th Anniversary of D-Day. During the war Mr. Hall was stranded on a raft for three and a half days after his destroyer was sunk off the coast of Sicily. He also was involved in the Battle of Dieppe and D-Day in Normandy on June 6, 1944.
